Use the Mass Pirg/Child Care Waiver to remove these fees from your University bill for a given term.

1. Log on to SPIRE. On your Student Center, click the Mass Pirg/Child Care Waiver link under the Finances heading.
2. The top of the Mass Pirg/Child Care Waiver page displays the current term for which a fee waiver is available. The term information is found below your name and UMass career.
3. Select the check boxes to waive the fees for Mass Pirg and/or Child Care. You may waive the fee for either one or both. The waiver applies only for the term displayed at the top of the page.
4. Select Continue to save your changes and return to your Student Center.

Note:

• If you make your fee waiver selections after you pay your University bill, you will receive a credit to your account for the amount of the waived fees.
• You must request a waiver again with each new term. Your fee waiver selections apply only for the term indicated on the Mass Pirg/Child Care Waiver page.
