Manage Your Directory Information in SPIRE

UMass Amherst instructors and staff, use SPIRE to manage your own contact information as it appears in People Finder and the printed UMass directory. Employees are responsible for keeping their own information current.

October 23rd, 2009 is the deadline for updating your information for the 2010 printed UMass directory. Changes made in SPIRE after this deadline will not appear in the printed directory until 2011; however, the online People Finder will be updated within 24 hours of your change.

Note: SPIRE will be unavailable Thursday October 8th at 5pm to Wednesday October 15th at about 9am while OIT performs an upgrade. Please plan accordingly.

To view and update directory information:

  1. In the left Menu, go to My Personal Information > UMass Directory Info. The UMass Directory Info page will open, listing the directory information on file with the University (e.g., Published Name, Work Address, Email Address, etc.).
  2. Click the hyperlink to the right of any item that should be updated. Depending on the kind of information, the link will direct you either to a page where you can make the changes yourself or provide information about how to request changes as appropriate.
