Virex is an anti-virus software that allows you to find and remove viruses from your computer and email attachments. If you are operating a Macintosh computer with version 7.7 of Virex, OIT strongly recommends you download the "hotfix" included on the software download page of the OIT website.

Note: This version of Virex can only be installed on PowerPC-based Macintosh computers running Mac OS 10.3.x or below. If you have OS 10.4.x or above or if you have an Intel-based Mac, we recommend that you use VirusScan 8.x for Macs.
