Your OIT Account comes with a 150MB mailbox on the UMass Amherst email system
(UMail), access to high-speed wired and wireless Internet, 100MB of Web space, your very own blog and online storage space (UDrive). Your NetID (OIT
Account user name) also gives you access to SPIRE, the online student records
database and full-text online resources from the University libraries.

Computer Classrooms
Reserve one of our classrooms when your students need to use a computer
during class. The software suite in our classrooms includes common
Microsoft and Adobe packages as well as specialized software for statistical
analysis and Web development.

From this classroom you can make video conferencing connections to similar
classrooms in the Five-College system or anywhere in the world.

SPARK
SPARK is a fully-featured Learning Management System that provides a secure
environment for online classes. Use SPARK to upload
syllabi, calendars and grades, and create interactive learning activites
such as quizzes and discussions.

Request a Course OIT Account for your courses and post content online via a blog (ideal for simple course sites), UDrive (for
simple file-sharing), or a hosted Web site (ideal for using Web development software).

Class Rosters & Grade Submission (SPIRE & Mobius)
In SPIRE, you can view class rosters, download your schedule, and
submit grades. Other features include mailing lists based on class rosters
and class rosters featuring students' photos. Faculty can also use Mobius to download class rosters.
